Memphis is the second largest city and second largest metropolitan area in Tennessee behind Nashville.  Memphis is a historic river city built on the banks of the Mississippi River where there are still riverboat tours and many waterfront parks and a pedestrian only bridge called the Big River Crossing which connects Memphis to the Arkansas side of the Mississippi River. The city has a rich history of Blues music and is also known for BBQ, both of which can be found on the famous Beale Street in downtown Memphis.
