Lawrence, Kansas is a college town of about 90,000 residents located on the Kansas river about 45 minutes from downtown Kansas City, MO. Lawrence is home to the University of Kansas as well as Haskell Indian Nations University.  KU has roughly 28,000 students at the Lawrence and Kansas City area campuses. The Kansas Jayhawks play their football games at the 50,000 seat Memorial Stadium while the basketball teams play their games at historic Allen Fieldhouse.  Lawrence is known for having a vibrant downtown district and lively music scene concentrated along Massachusetts Street.
